Yesterday I was on the phone with my mother, and we talked about many things relating our family. One thing that came to my realization is the Importance of making the right choice. Whatever we do in life has a consequences, if we decide not to go to be bathroom to pee, chances are our kidneys will be affected, whether sooner or later. To every action there is a reaction. One of the Ten Commandments states that making bad choices will not only affect your kids but 3rdor 4th generations to follow. That's how this is so important. A lot of us makes decisions not realizing that those decisions not only affect the people around us but also generations to come. If we can change our thought process and realize how important this is, I believe this will change the way we start making choices.
For example, my brother is 4 years younger than me. He has two kids with two different mothers. We grew up in a family were he had a Father and Mother, now his kids will grow up with one or either. Things happens and that's very understandable. Now it is very important for my brother and anyone out there who is the same situation or worse to change the way they make decisions from here now on. His choices will not only affect his kids but also affects me directly. You might ask how is that possible, the thing is if my brother can't afford to do certain things for his kids, if I'm able to help then it is my responsibility to help those kids because they are mine as much as they are his. This goes back to the ancient days in our culture where, for example, if something happened to my brother God forbid, I will have to take care of his family even going as far as marrying his wife to keep the name of our family moving forward. So my brothers kids are as part of me as he is. So his decisions not only affects him and his kids but also the rest of our family.
Vise verse, my decisions affects him and everyone else around our family. There for in order to win again we need to play in such a way that we can win and that means making the right choices. Yes we will not make the right choices every time but to realize the importance of how our decisions will affect us not only 20 years or 30 years from now but even generations to come.
Lets make the right choices, lets not be selfish and consider only our needs, but lets realize that our decision affects others we love. Note that bad decisions means years and years that others will have to pay for our stupid mistakes.
